How to fix it

1. If the workload needs longer than five minutes, plan replacement rather than an in-place type edit. Terraform type changes and CloudFormation StateMachineType changes replace the resource. A named CloudFormation machine also needs a new StateMachineName. Review the new ARN, caller permissions, execution semantics, retry behavior and cost before switching traffic.
2. StartSyncExecution is unavailable for Standard. Synchronous API Gateway or SDK callers must move to StartExecution with polling or another result-handling design. Enable and inspect CloudWatch Logs for asynchronous Express results; they are unavailable there when logging is disabled.
